Our boy Billy Souphorse travels all the time. Dude is killing it working with Levi’s, Mission Workshop, Bern and doing a ton of stuff in the industry. This year he opened a Custom Frame Builder Section at the SF Bike Expo and had his custom SS coupled Affinity Metropolitan on display.

The bike breaks in half and fits into a softshell backpack case the size of a 700c wheel. We are working this year on making this a production frameset. With the bike in the case you don’t pay the crazy fees that airlines charge to travel with a bike, sometimes over 100$. Crazy. Click on the link below to see the video. I can’t make it embed to save my life.

Affinity Custom SS Coupled Metropolitan

More on that later in the year. Here is a video of Murph from Portland Design Works showing a 6 pack rack on the Metro. If you like it swing by the shop, we can order you a Take Out Basket. If you want a coupled Metro, you are gonna have to hold tight till later this year.

Yes! This jacket looks so nice, and its got some serious tech. I so want…

“The Eiger is our take on the classic military field jacket updated with all the modern advantages of technical outerwear, and the first apparel release in the Advanced Projects Series.

The Eiger is constructed from Swiss-made Schoeller c_change™ fabric which utilizes a heat reactive, waterproof-breathable membrane to regulate body temperature and comfort. The addition of wool-facing on the exterior of the Eiger shell creates a tailored outward appearance while the waterproof membrane provides complete protection from rain, wind, and snow. Full seam taping and a three-point adjustable hood ensure that you’ll stay dry when the storm rolls in.

True to its heritage, this field jacket is equipped with the traditional four-pocket front and is modernized with two internal media pockets, and a large cycling-style rear stowage compartment.

Made in Vancouver, British Columbia.”

The price tag is $695.00, and for a jacket which will last a life time, it’ll be worth it for sure. Go to the Mission Workshop website to purchase these fine jackets.

Korean artist Seo Young Deok has created some amazing large scale sculptures of the human body with the use of bicycle chains. The chains are welded together and pushes the limits of bicycle chains to create these wildly detailed works of art. Seo Young Deok is currently having his work exhibited at the INSA/Arko Art Centre in Seoul Korea. The artist says the sculptures evoke stories through the linkage of the pieces of the chains, bringing together natural forms with man made objects and technology. This is a truly outstanding usage of materials, check out the pictures below and the video piece.
