Our Story

Brooklyn New York City 2007, Affinity launched as a private label bicycle brand. Our first product, the Lo Pro track bike sets the stage and becomes an industry standard street machine.

Our Affinity is to engineer premium bicycles and components, tailored for enthusiasts, die-hards and elite athletes.

With a foundation in the bike messenger world, our products are put through the ringer day in and day out in the streets of NYC and world wide.

At its roots, Affinity is rider owned. Founder/Creative director Jason Gallacher has been racing bikes from age 9, and recently became a 2019 US Master’s National Champion on the track. Affinity supports local track racing at its home track the Kissena velodrome, and our elite racing program includes Olympic hopefuls, national & world champions, world cup athletes and Red Hook Crit champs.

We’ve collaborated with the famed rap group the Wu Tang Clan, created custom bicycles for Levi’s and the Affinity Metropolitan became the star of the 2000’s cult track bike movie Premium Rush.

Most recently, Affinity partnered with Hennessy to honor American cycling icon Marshall “Major” Taylor, paying tribute to the first African American world champion in sport, and turn of the century civil rights pioneer.

At our core and in our heart, Affinity products are designed by champions and ridden by legends.
